Aqua B

We liked the large, comfortable, quiet room at Aqua B, and appreciated having a fresh bottle of water each day and air conditioning. The main hotel, Aqua Palace, served our included breakfast, and the nearby canal was the pickup and drop-off point for the vaporetto. The walk to the main tourist sights was easy and pleasant, and every hotel worker we met was kind and helpful. We also enjoyed the hotel-arranged visit to Murano and an authentic glass-blowing factory. Thanks for helping us enjoy La Dolce Vita, even if only for a few days.

We stayed in the B&B, which is a narrow three-storey walk-up, so it may not suit anyone with knee or hip trouble. After a day of sightseeing, those stairs felt endless. Thankfully, staff took care of bringing up and collecting our luggage. The rooms are like small apartments, with a living room on one side and the bedroom and bathroom down a short hall. Since we had our young daughter with us, I slept in the living room while they used the bedroom around the corner. Finding the B&B can be a little confusing because it’s off the main path and the entrance is a back door. If you’re walking from the train station, I’d use the hotel address instead. The B&B belongs to Aqua B, which also has a hotel. Aside from the stairs and layout, the place and service were very good. It’s so quiet that you could forget you’re in the heart of Venice, and we always felt safe. Attractions are an easy walk away. For breakfast, you can reserve a table or order from a smaller menu to your room. We chose room service: the continental breakfast was plentiful and arrived right on time. The front desk was friendly and helpful when we needed them. Their airport taxi was good, though at 160 euro it cost a little more than we’re used to. We’d stay again, but might choose the hotel next time to avoid the stairs every night.

Our breakfast arrived exactly when we requested it each morning, and the service was delightful throughout our stay. The hotel sits between two of the busiest tourist areas but has a quiet little square of its own. Highly recommend!

The en-suite room was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was brought to our room at no extra charge, which was a lovely bonus. It’s a nice B&B run by the neighboring hotel, whose front desk also handles service.
