Arcadia Boutique Hotel

The booking and value left me really disappointed. I chose Arcadia Boutique Hotel over many other Venice options because of the good breakfast reviews and booked a Booking.com promotional rate of €530 for three nights in a small room, with breakfast listed as included. On arrival, the room was even smaller than I'd expected, but I accepted that because breakfast was part of the deal. On the first morning, we'd sat down and got our drinks before being told breakfast wasn't included and that we had to pay or leave. The manager looked on. Being dealt with in front of other guests was embarrassing and uncomfortable. Booking.com wouldn't take responsibility and blamed Hong Kong TUI Business Travel Limited instead. For that price, the room felt poor value. There was no seating area, desk, or tea and coffee setup, and only a tiny rail for two or three items of clothing. The photos didn't match what we found, and the hotel felt lifeless. Staff barely communicated, including at checkout. It was a bizarre stay, and we couldn't wait to leave. I've contacted Booking.com several times asking for a link to leave a review, but they've ignored the requests. Venice is a beautiful city with plenty of beautiful hotels, but I wouldn't recommend this one. The misleading booking information, lack of discretion, and poor value made the experience disappointing. Please don't waste time replying to this review. You had plenty of opportunities at the time and chose to ignore me.

The location made everything easy to reach, yet the hotel was in a peaceful spot. The room was historic and beautiful, and it was where they served exceptional breakfasts. Beds were comfortable, the bathroom was lovely, and the staff were so nice and helpful. This was the most pleasant hotel I've visited in Italy, and I'm happy to recommend it to friends. Thanks to the staff for a lovely 4 days!

We stayed four days in July, and it was such a cute place. The hotel is quiet, which made for a good vacation. Our bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and both the bedroom and bathroom were clean. The basket of essentials by the sink was really useful. Staff were amazing, polite, respectful, and friendly, a nice change from other hotels. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of options kept fresh under covers, and delicious desserts. Great for short or long stays, and we'd definitely come back.

The rooms weren't bad, but the staff were incredibly rude, especially at night. When my wife asked why the room smelled and requested a switch, Manuel yelled at her. They then moved our luggage to an “upgrade” and only afterward told us it would cost extra. Save yourself the headache if you're booking a place in Venice. We posted this review before, but it seems they managed to delete it.
