B&B Confort

It's a very clean, quiet, comfortable place, and the host was friendly and accommodating, with lots of insider tips. The location is excellent for visiting Venice, close to the train and bus and to downtown Mestre. I'd recommend it even though it's a new establishment.

Clean, dependable, and everything worked smoothly, from booking and check-in to Wi-Fi. It's a decent place for a Venice visit, about a 10-minute walk from the train station. Street parking isn't free. Don't expect a superior hotel at this price. It's Venice, and what you get is closer to a hostel.

The owner gave us a miserable stay with a terrible attitude. He tried to overcharge my wife and me, claiming euros were worth more than twice the value of dollars, and added a city tax that hadn't been disclosed before. There isn't even a sign outside to show where this business is; the owner waits for guests on the street. It appears to be inside an apartment complex and may be an illegal business. The owner recently changed the name from CONFORT B and B, which he may have deliberately misspelled, to this silly new name to get rid of earlier bad reviews. The booking website makes it look like the B&B is in Venice proper, but it isn't. The area seemed bad to me, with drugs and crime. Avoid at all cost.

Very clean and beautiful, with a nice host. A good affordable option outside Venise. The bus station is 8 minutes away on foot, and from there it's a 20-minute ride to Venise for 1€50.
