Ca Bea

The rooms at Ca' Bea were very clean and comfortable, and I felt at home. The property is close to everything, in my favorite Venice neighborhood, Dorsoduro. Federico was so nice. These are the best luxury guest rooms I’ve stayed in Venice, and I hope to return soon.

I’ve been both a host and a guest for a long time, and I believe Airbnb works best when people follow its guidelines. This became my worst Airbnb experience after Federico messaged me outside Airbnb. In the Airbnb messages, I said I’d let him know when we were 10 minutes away, which we thought would keep his wait short. I also told him we were on the train, due to arrive at 4:30, after he texted to ask when we’d get there. When we arrived, Federico was angry that he’d had to wait, and nothing we said calmed him. Looking back at the messages, it seemed he had acted on the text instead of the Airbnb message. We’re now sailing away from Venice on a long planned vacation, disappointed that this avoidable stress spoiled what should have been a lovely Airbnb stay. Follow Airbnb’s guidelines, they’re there for a reason.

Ca’ Bea is a lovely find, quiet and cozy, and just right for a couple. It’s in the heart of Venice, with a great location for romantic walks. I highly recommend it!

The owner was especially rude to me, and the whole situation was incredibly uncomfortable. I’ve never had such a bad experience with a late check-in. The 18:30 cutoff leaves guests very little room, especially if they’re flying in from abroad or driving through traffic. I don’t recommend staying here if you might arrive after that time. I got to garage san marco at 18:20 and had already tried calling around 17:30 to say I’d be late. The owner sounded irritated and impolite, then hung up, leaving me unable to check in and with the full bill to pay. A colleague who had checked in that morning tried to help me get access, but for some unknown reason that wasn’t possible either. I had a terrible experience with the ownership. The facility won’t allow check-in after 18:30, for reasons I don’t know, and the owners showed no flexibility.
