At first the room felt almost overwhelmingly large, but we soon settled in and enjoyed the two comfy chairs, gorgeous bed, heated towel rail, and selection of drinks and snacks. I especially loved the little view of teapots and jugs through our shuttered window. Inside, there were also the remains of a fresco with pretty birds, a fireplace, and a portrait. We were in quiet Cannaregio, with an easy walk to a supermarket full of delicious oranges, the breakfast café Snack Bar Tiziano, and Ca Dolfin restaurant. We liked them enough to eat at both places two days in a row instead of trying somewhere else. I loved seeing locals walk their dogs, and it made me smile to spot one badly behaved dog in a country where the dogs are usually so well behaved.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was modern, spacious, nicely decorated, and looked like the photos. It was very clean, with housekeeping every day, though changing the sheets or towels cost extra. The bed was super comfortable, with soft sheets. Check-in was easy and the location was great. Coffee and snacks in the room were free. We couldn't use the shared kitchen, which we had expected to be able to use, and there are stairs to get in with no elevator. Booked through Airbnb.

The private buffet breakfast was 10/10, with a great range of bread, yoghurt, pastries, and more. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were fantastic, spacious, and comfortable, in a quiet, non-touristy area within easy walking distance of many attractions. The only downside was how loud the upstairs aircon was. I'd highly recommend staying here.
