Ca' Granda Venice Apartaments

Traveling with a child, arriving late with luggage, and finding the real apartment a 15-minute walk from the advertised address was miserable. The listing gives a location that isn’t the actual one, though the property is technically in a central area. When I asked for help on WhatsApp, they sent a Google Maps link to a different address without explaining or assisting. There’s no signage, the entrance is extremely dark, and the building felt unsafe. Once inside, it was so dark we spent several minutes finding the light switch with our phone flashlights. The room was horrible and felt dirty and neglected. The mirrors were dark, yellowed, and stained; the furniture was old, broken, and poorly maintained; and the blanket was dirty, though the sheets were clean. Beside the bed was an old, dark wall covering with a mirrored base that felt creepy. The bathroom is downstairs, isolated, dark, and uncomfortable, especially at night. A very strong, sweet artificial perfume fills the place, apparently to mask other smells, but cigarette smoke still seemed to be everywhere. That’s unacceptable when traveling with a child. There’s a kitchen, but using it is forbidden, which made no sense and added to the frustration. The WhatsApp service was useless. Replies took ages, didn’t solve anything, and were often rude and dismissive. Nights were noisy and unsettling, with creaking and strange sounds, and the TV kept turning itself off. We stayed four nights and barely slept. We often went to the bathroom together because the place felt so uncomfortable and unsafe. Maybe it works as a Halloween prank, but it is absolutely not suitable for families or children. Dirty, smelly, poorly maintained, and misleadingly advertised, with terrible customer service. I’d never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
