The shower curtain had visible mold, and the place wasn't clean. There was noise from the shops below, and the stairs weren't easy with luggage. The safe deposit box was broken, the windows were broken, and the doors had to be locked from inside with a key, with no fire escape route. Staff weren't on site, there was no kitchen, and the internet was absent or very slow. Overall, no.

Our birthday stay was awful. The room ceiling leaked, and we couldn't reach the staff except once. Their answer was to put a towel on the floor, probably to protect the old carpet. There was no hot water or proper water pressure, hair in the bed, and dead flies in the bathroom. The managers refused to take responsibility. Definitely not recommended. 😡🤢

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The whole stay was horrible, and the room smelled awful the entire two nights, like someone with really poor personal hygiene. The blankets and pillows were filthy, and the carpets and bed frame were dusty. It seemed as if the room had been cleaned in seconds, a minute at most. We put our T-shirts over the pillows so we could rest our faces on them, and used only one blanket to avoid the rest. When I tried to shower, the hot water lasted no more than a minute. We spent as much time as we could exploring every part of Venice because we dreaded going back to the room. The staff were rude and the place was extremely uncomfortable. If you're looking for somewhere to stay, steer clear unless you want to get scabies or be eaten alive by bed bugs. At check-in, we'd given our arrival time as 2pm, as requested, expecting someone to be at reception, though there wasn't really a reception. Nobody was there, so we messaged via Whatsapp and were asked questions about our booking as if they didn't know we were coming. We were then told to wait. After 25 minutes, someone arrived, but was on a personal call and didn't acknowledge us. We waited another 15 minutes while he finished. It was rude and unprofessional, and he seemed not to care about guests at all. We didn't even have our keys yet, and it already felt like a terrible stay. The booking was under my partner's name.

I enjoyed most of my three-night stay at Ca’ Princess. The staff were lovely, the room was about what I expected for the price, and the shower was amazing. I didn't notice any dirt or bed bugs, despite other people's reports. The locks on both the building entrance and room doors were finicky, and sometimes I struggled with the keys. I also couldn't figure out the A/C, so the room got deathly cold, even with a warm jacket and pants on in bed. If cold doesn't bother you and you need an affordable place for 2-3 nights, I'd recommend it.
