The apartment was huge and in a great location, but it was absolutely filthy and clearly not being looked after. The bathrooms, showers, and curtains were mouldy enough that you could smell it and felt like you were breathing it in. The tablecloths and sheets were stained, and there was more dirt I could keep listing. We paid top dollar and were extremely disappointed. The owner promised a partial refund, but it never came.

The host was warm and helpful, and the place was lovely and clean. We could take a water taxi straight to the door from Stazione, and the location worked really well. We'd happily stay again.

The place was a bit far from the train station. Inside, the rooms felt old and rusty and could use an update.

There's a supermarket downstairs, and the apartment is just a minute from San Marco and seven minutes from Rialto. It's enormous, with big bedrooms and two bathrooms, and it had everything we needed, including a dishwasher, coffee maker, and toaster. It was clean throughout. The mattresses are soft and the furniture's dated, but it all does the job. Just be ready for 50 steps up to the first floor.

We were seven people there for New Year's Eve, and the house had plenty of room for a big group. The price felt very fair, though cleanliness was a letdown: the cupboard shelves were dusty, and the oven was stained and dirty.
