The WiFi was great, and the staff were nice. The location is really central, but the room itself was only okay, even for the price. There’s air conditioning, an acceptable bed, soap, and shampoo, but the bathroom is tiny. The shower took more than five minutes to warm up, which is unacceptable, and the hairdryer was broken. After a shower, the toilet and whole floor were soaking wet, which was annoying. It’s alright, just not great, and could be better for what it costs.

The Booking photos make it look like a good place, but the reality was awful. The floor was broken, there was no proper blanket, and poor plumbing turned the shower into a pool. I’d stay away.

The building is old, but the place was cozy and clean, and the staff were very friendly. Hotel Canada is in a perfect spot near the Grand Canal, Suso Gelato, and the historic bookstore. They also let us leave our bags before check-in or after check-out, which made exploring Venice stress-free.

The location is perfect, but the room is dark and so small there’s barely room to move around the bed. The door creaks, and a few moths flew around in the toilet. Then there are the stairs, a real stairway-to-heaven situation, if you know, you know.

This is a two-star hotel, so keep your expectations grounded. The room was dated and small, and the shower took a while to heat up. Still, it was really clean and did the job as a place to sleep after full days exploring. The hotel needs a lot of modernization, but I’d happily stay again. Getting around from the location was so easy. Breakfast was a croissant, bread roll, and tea or coffee. Nothing amazing, but enough to get you started for the day.
