It’s simple and practical, and for the price I think it works well for a budget trip. We stayed a few nights and found the room clean, in good condition, and equipped with what we needed for a short visit. The bed was comfortable enough. With the train station close by and a bus stop nearby too, getting to Venice was quick and easy. I’d recommend it if you want an affordable place in a convenient spot.

It took us a long time to find the place because there was no sign pointing it out. We also hadn’t been told how high up it was, and there’s no elevator.

We couldn’t get any rest here. Starting at 6.30 am, the man looking after the four rooms cleaned loudly, and the doors had to be slammed shut. Every trip to the toilet meant another bang. My wife is pregnant and needed to rest, but the noise made sleep impossible. The rooms were dirty, with nails on the floor, hair in the bed, and white powder everywhere to treat ants. The shared bathroom wasn’t clean either. We complained and asked for a refund, since 90€ / night via hostelword seemed excessive, but the man spoke neither English nor Italian. He sent us to the boss, who refused to refund the remaining nights and didn’t apologize. No one had told us there was no elevator. The location is good, but I’d advise people not to book this hostel. It’s a terrible place to stay in Venise.

The room was close to the main train station, about a 5min walk, and the AC worked perfectly. Check-in and check-out were easy, and I had a nice room to myself with a bathroom and soap. Towels and bed sheets were provided, but pack your own hair dryer or anything else you might need. Late checkout from 10am to 4pm was available for +10€, and I thought it was totally worth it. I’d come again if I visit Venice :)
