The room looked out onto a canal, the bed was comfortable, and our host was friendly and helpful. It's handy for the train and fairly close to the water bus station. The towels were quite small, though, and there were no cups or glasses in the room.

Fresh croissants from a local bakery made breakfast especially good, and the room and bed were comfortable too. Giovanni was a very welcoming host and shared genuinely useful tips for Venice. The bus station is nearby, which made the location convenient. Highly recommend!

The owner was incredibly generous and welcoming, and his local tips were probably the best help we could have had in Venice. He covered sights, when to go, places to eat away from the tourist spots, and what to watch out for. The room itself was nice, though bugs bit me several times overnight, so keeping the windows shut or bringing bug spray might help. It felt a little pricey compared with, say, a Milan hotel, especially since renovations were still underway and there was no air conditioning.

The owner had plenty of useful tips on avoiding the tourist scams and thefts in Venice. The place is inexpensive, in a good neighborhood, and very close to the station.

Each morning there was freshly made bread at reception. Giovanni gave us a wonderful welcome, and our room was clean and tidy.
