The bed was comfortable, and the location was good, but the room felt a bit outdated. There was mould in the shower, which needed a good clean. With no bathroom ventilation, the walls got damp and the bathroom smelled wet and dirty. It was also a little noisy at night because there's a restaurant below. Check-in was strange, though the owner had sent step-by-step instructions, which helped. The building entrance door was really hard to open and could use some maintenance.

The room was dirty and dingy. The owner was rude, and collecting the keys or getting in touch was very difficult.

The apartment's location in one of Venice's best neighborhoods was the one positive. Management by the landlord was poor, and the place was only half clean, with too many squashed mosquitoes on the walls. Mosquitoes in the evenings weren't their fault, but the soundproofing really needs work. Check-out at 10:00 AM was far too early.

The apartment worked well for two or three people, though getting up the steep stairs was a challenge. It had a microwave, kettle, and Dolce Gusto coffee machine, plus towels, a tea towel, and a hairdryer. It's central but charmingly tucked away, with a Venetian bistro around the corner that can get a bit noisy in the evening. We had one complaint, and they resolved it that same day.

There wasn't much space or quiet in the room. The furniture was shoddy, there was no coat rack, and the closet was too small for two people.
