Casa Fondamente Nuove was a great choice, and we’d happily stay again. Our two-bedroom apartment had everything needed for a short or long visit, was comfortable, and was nicely laid out. It sits right on the water overlooking the bay at Cannaregio, near the F.Te Nove “A” ferry stop. The island setting is quiet and beautiful, away from the crowds, yet St Marks Square is a short walk away. Ferry stops are close, and it’s easy to reach the train station and airport. There’s a coop supermarket 10 minutes away, a fruit stall 5 minutes away, and plenty of bars, restaurants, and trattorias nearby. Elisa was a great host and shared tips and suggestions that made the stay memorable. We chose the apartment after reading the positive reviews and getting in touch with Elisa.

We were looking for somewhere tranquil, clean, and comfortable outside the busy tourist area, and this apartment was exactly right. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the busier part of town, yet there are good restaurants nearby, along with a bakery and supermarket. The Fondamente Nove ferry stop is right there, with several lines that can take you around Venice. The lagoon view across to San Michele island is stunning, and the apartment is remarkably quiet. The apartment sits right on the lagoon at the Fondamente Nove ferry stop. It was comfortable and immaculately clean, including the well-equipped kitchen, with utensils and tableware. Elisa, the owner who lives upstairs, stocked the kitchen with coffee, was very helpful and responsive, and gave us useful advice. It was also easy to reach from the airport: take the Alilaguna Blue line to Fondamente Nove. We loved staying in this peaceful apartment.
