I booked through Airbnb. It felt like staying in a private home. We shared the bathroom, but there weren’t many other guests, so it didn’t feel uncomfortable. The bathroom itself was incredibly large. If you want a budget-friendly place that’s fully furnished, I highly recommend it.

Cleanliness was the worst part of our stay, and something I consider essential. Even for a basic B&B, it shouldn’t have been neglected, especially since it was included. There was dust everywhere, including on the bedside tables, cobwebs and spiders throughout, centipedes in the bathroom, hair, dirty towels, and extremely dirty floors. I could go on. Some electrical outlets didn’t work, and the mattress and pillows were uncomfortable. My partner and I had a Wonderbox for one night, but the owner required us to book at least two nights and pay a significant supplement. I also wasn’t given a receipt. The few positives were the parking on site and the nearby bus stop for Venice.

We had a very large bed in an excellent room, and the bathroom was perfect and very clean. The shared kitchen was useful, and there’s a lovely garden to sit in and enjoy the fresh air. The bus stop is only a few meters away, and Venice center is about ten minutes by bus. Highly recommended.

The garden was lovely and well kept, with cats and a turtle, and the owner was kind and helpful. There was always good music playing in the background. The apartment sits among greenery and is well furnished, with every comfort and a shabby chic, retro feel. The bedroom was large and welcoming. The bathroom was clean and practical, with a big shower featuring music, lights, and several jets, plus a bright bathtub.
