Hotel Cavalletto e Doge Orseolo

We stayed one night in room 1259, facing the canal and gondolas. It was clean, a decent size, and decorated in typical Venetian style, with a big comfortable bed. The hotel is conveniently close to St. Marco square, the main attractions and the boat station. The crew were welcoming, polite and very helpful with our questions and requests, and check-in and checkout were quick and easy. Breakfast was fine overall, though the food selection could be improved. Before we left, they gave us a voucher that reduced the car parking charge in the garage. We appreciated that.

I felt right at home in my single room, which had decent space and lovely architecture and furniture. The hotel is in a perfect spot, an easy walk from anywhere, including the Piazzale di Roma. Staff were welcoming and professional, always greeting me with a smile. It was affordable and fantastic value. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We came here after our wedding in Ireland, with my family travelling all the way from Mexico to join us. That made an already fantastic stay even more special. The room was wonderful, and the service surpassed what we expected. Martina, Fabrizio and everyone at reception made us feel truly welcome from the start. We’re absolutely delighted and couldn’t be happier with the experience.

Getting to and from the airport and train station was very easy. Rialto bridge has direct connections from both, and it’s an easy walk from there. The hotel is also perfectly located for nearby attractions. Our stay was perfect from check-in through breakfast and the service, which felt like a 7 star experience. The staff were professional and accommodating. Rooms were very clean, well insulated and had all the facilities we needed, plus elevators. The bed was comfortable, though the double was two single beds pushed together, which we didn’t mind. I’ll come back if I’m ever in Venice.
