I’d come back for the breakfast lady alone. She brings coffee or chocolate to your table, keeps the food topped up, and plays good music. The room was small but okay for what you pay, and San Marco Square is just a block away. Patio smoke can drift in, though.

For a short stay, this is a very good-value place right in the center. It’s an older building, but in good shape, and our room was clean with a comfortable bed. I enjoyed breakfast, though I would’ve liked more vegetables.

Friendly service and a great location make up for the hotel’s flaws. It isn’t five-star, but the price is good and breakfast is included. If you’re okay with overlooking a few minor shortcomings, I’d recommend it.

The room was filthy, smelled of sewage, and had insects crawling on the walls. I was bitten several times, and we’re still dealing with bugs that may have come home in our luggage. On top of that, the staff were extremely rude, and one person shouted at me when I asked a simple question. This ruined our Venice trip. It felt disgusting and unprofessional, and I think the hotel should be inspected. Avoid it.
