I spent one night here before leaving Venice after my trip. The hotel is an easy walk from Venice Mestre train station, which made the location great, especially for a solo traveler. I arrived early, left my bag with the concierge, and was able to complete check-in ahead of time. The front office staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed for the price. Highly recommend it.

The room was in average shape, though the AC and wifi worked well. There were dead mosquitoes and stains on the wall. We couldn’t manage all seven nights and booked two nights in Venice instead. If you’re after the real Venice experience, spend more and stay in Venice. A few things went wrong from the start. When I gave my name at arrival, they asked, “What do you want from us?” I’d forgotten the reservation was under my husband’s name. The card to enter the room also didn’t work properly. We expected a normal, clean hotel based on the pictures, not anything fancy. The double bed was actually two small beds pushed together, and they kept sliding apart overnight, so sleeping as a couple was difficult. One towel had a black, wavy hair on it, and the towels were dirty. Breakfast was ordinary, though the croissants were delicious. On some days it was served in a different hotel across the street, meaning we had to go outside in the rain. The walls were paper thin. We heard everything from nearby rooms, including doors slamming in the morning and phone conversations at night. I also got bumps and an allergic reaction on my body. There were no mosquitoes in the room, so we couldn’t work out what caused it, but I suspect bed bugs. The station is nearby, and it takes about 10 minutes to get to Venice, but reaching it meant going through a tunnel with urine, people taking drugs, and syringes on the ground. It felt dangerous. We’re Eastern European and have seen quite a few things.

The lobby looks like an art gallery, and the location is excellent. FlixBus, airport buses, and the train station are only five minutes away. Bus 6 and 6L stop right outside for trips to Venice Center. The room was OK, and room service cleaned it daily. There’s no fridge, and the bathroom was a little small.
