The flat is on the ground floor, so there are no steps to get in and out, which is handy except during high-tide periods. Street noise from the calle is low, with only the loudest tourists disturbing the peace, and it’s totally quiet at night. There’s a cheap CONAD shop within 200 metres and a self-service laundry 300 metres away. The only thing missing for me was a washing machine. I first booked CorteSconta for a few business days while working in Marghera, then extended through Carnival because the price-quality ratio was so good. It felt roughly equivalent to a 4*L Junior Suite. It’s in San Polo Sestiere, near Campo San Stin, about 600 metres on foot from Venezia Santa Lucia Train Station and 700 metres from Piazzale Roma Bus Terminal. There’s plenty here for a longer stay: a large main bedroom with a king-size bed and big wardrobe, a small bedroom with a single bed and wardrobe, plus a living room with a sofa bed that opens up for one or two more guests. There’s also a FullHD LCD TV with a 3D Bluray player, an inside garden for cooking and eating in summer, a standard bathroom with shower, and a fully equipped kitchen, including ready-to-use pasta and Italian coffee. I highly recommend it during Carnival, close enough to the best spots but far enough away to stay quiet and separate.
