Da Bruno Homes

We arrived in winter and the room was lovely and warm, with a clean little ensuite bathroom that suited Venice's atmosphere. The staff made us feel welcome and had a drink ready when we got there. Breakfast was a nice continental spread with plenty to choose from, including meats, fruit, pancakes, croissants, cereal, scrambled eggs and hard-boiled eggs. It's a lovely small hotel right in the centre. I'd definitely recommend it.

From the balcony we could watch gondolas go by on the canal, which was a delight. Restaurants and shops are all around, with Rialto about a five-minute walk away and St. Mark's around ten minutes. The apartment was huge, clean and modern, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, air conditioning in every room and a kitchen stocked with everything we needed. It surpassed our expectations.

There's a tasty gelato shop on the first floor, and the pizza they call "Crazy Pizza" is good too. The staff were friendly, and our room was spacious and clean.

The apartment was really large and had all the amenities, and I liked it a lot. Its central spot made it close to everything in Venice. Da Bruno has lots of apartments to choose from, and I picked the one on Sestiere di Castillo because it was closest to check-in at Hotel da Bruno. That worked out well. Venice's narrow, cobbled streets make hauling luggage a real challenge, but this apartment was on the first floor, so the lack of an elevator wasn't a problem. The hotel attendant was very friendly and walked us over to show us around.
