It’s quiet, and the evening walks around Venice are lovely and peaceful. But there’s very little for cooking, no shower gel or shampoo, and the shower was clogged. I’ll spare you the photo. The household is an extra charge, yet there’s practically nothing and it isn’t clean, including the dishes and glasses, so it’s expensive. Garbage collection by staff costs another 10 euros. The air conditioning didn’t work, and neither did the mosquito catches.

We stayed for 2 nights in early May 2016. The owner communicated well and arranged for our late-night arrival. It’s handy for the cruise terminal and fairly close to Piazzale Roma, where airport buses drop you off. The main tourist areas are a short walk away, though we preferred the quieter neighbourhood and its more local feel. The rooms are in one apartment and each has its own bathroom. Ours was well furnished, and the bathroom was very nice. There’s a shared kitchen with a fridge and tea and coffee facilities, but we didn’t use it during our 2 nights. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

NO STARS. Don’t book here unless you’re absolutely sure you’ll stay. Even though we booked 7 months in advance and had a genuine reason to cancel, the owners wouldn’t give us a full refund. They also told us they’d charge us for cleaning if we emailed again to ask for the full refund. Their behaviour towards us was awful, especially considering my partner is disabled and we had a genuine reason to cancel.

The owner was really friendly, and the place has a cute, quaint feel. It’s a nice neighborhood, though a bit away from the center. We could walk about ten minutes to reach some good restaurants.
