Hotel Gorizia A La Valigia

We had a really good stay, with nice rooms, a good breakfast, great staff and a great location. One thing to know is that sound carries: guests can be loud in the hallways and shared areas, and the rooms aren't soundproof. I'd avoid a first-floor room beside the common space.

We stayed two nights before our cruise, and getting around was easy. Rialto station is less than a five-minute walk away, so it's convenient for the airport and Venice's public water transit. The major sights are close by too. The rooms were quiet, comfortable and well appointed. This is an old-school hotel with actual keys that you leave at reception when heading out. Breakfast had lots of tasty choices, though the room is small and you need to book a 30-minute slot. We had to leave before breakfast opened on our last morning. The front desk clerk offered a takeaway breakfast, which arrived the evening before. It was a great meal and a thoughtful gesture. All in all, a great place to stay.

From here it's an easy walk to Rialto and San Marks Square, with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. I loved it! The room was comfortable and had the amenities I needed. Breakfast offered a good choice, although the room felt a little cramped. Getting here from Rialto Carbon was very convenient.

I'm a returning guest, and I love the hotel's stylish, cozy feel. It's warm and elegant while still feeling like home, and you can walk to both Rialto and Piazza San Marco in just a few minutes.
