H10 Palazzo Canova

The rooftop terrace was our favorite part, with a bar serving drinks and food, plenty of tables, heating lamps, and an awesome, unusual view of the Grand Canal and Ponto Di Rialto bridge. It's the only rooftop terrace along the canal that I know of. The bar prices are a little high, but I think the view makes up for that. We had a great room, friendly and helpful staff, and a classy hotel. As an H10 member, our experience was even better. Breakfast was very good, with a buffet plus two hot meals. The location along the Gran Canal in the city center made it easy to walk around Venice, though the crowds come with it. Probably one of the best hotels in Venice.

Being right on the Grand Canal made it easy to walk to almost everything. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, though a little small, as you’d expect in Venice. We also really enjoyed the complete breakfast, with plenty to choose from and attentive staff. Everyone was welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the service was outstanding. The concierge deserves a special mention for helping us arrange everything, including a perfectly organized visit to Murano. We had a memorable stay at H10 Palazzo Canova.

The room was beautiful and clean, and the rooftop bar was stylish, with both indoor and outdoor seating. But service felt distant. When we arrived by water taxi, nobody came to help with our luggage. The front desk, concierge, and breakfast staff never seemed to look up or greet us. They weren’t rude, just not friendly. We’d asked for a corner room and didn’t get one. We’d booked two rooms months ahead for three nights, paying over $1,000 for each, so it was disappointing that our request wasn’t honored.

Getting around was easy, and we especially appreciated being met by boat at the train station and taken straight to the hotel. The managers were polite and professional, and helped us book a sightseeing boat, arrange a transfer to the airport by boat, and reserve a restaurant table. That meal turned out to be a 10/10 experience. The breakfasts were delicious, varied, and high quality. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and well kept. Iacopo was especially attentive, kind, and professional, and made our stay even more special. We loved every moment here and would happily return. Highly recommended, truly 10/10.
