Before bed, we loved stopping at the bar for a nightcap, and breakfast the next morning was another highlight. Hotel Heureka was the favorite stop on our two-week trip around Italy, right at the start of the vacation. Everyone made us feel welcome. We loved the food, our room, the staff, and the decor. I can’t wait to come back!

Andrea, the hotel manager, was excellent, and Alex made a terrific Aperol spritz with a Venetian twist. Everyone on staff was friendly, and the hotel itself is beautiful. We especially liked spending time in the garden in the morning or at aperitivo time. We found this gem in Cannaregio while looking for somewhere away from the crowds. Its spot north of the Grand Canal is peaceful, with quiet walks by smaller canals, yet the city center and main sights are only a short walk away. Our room didn’t have a great view, which was the one drawback, but we were out enjoying Venice most of the time anyway.

We spent three nights at Hotel Heureka in August 2025, and the staff made the trip memorable. Franco and Monica at the concierge desk were warm, helpful, and proactive, arranging boat bookings and restaurant suggestions and reservations. The property was clean and beautifully decorated, and its peaceful, well-kept garden felt like an oasis where we could relax. It’s away from Venice’s busy tourist areas, while still being convenient and charming.

The personal feel at Hotel Heureka stood out, with just ten rooms and a staff that made us feel at home from arrival. The concierges were kind and ready to arrange whatever we needed. Our room had lovely Venetian character and thoughtful design, and the hotel’s intimate, elegant atmosphere made our honeymoon feel special. It’s a peaceful spot outside Venice’s busy center, but close enough to reach places on foot or by water taxi. We look back on our stay fondly and would recommend it to anyone after a romantic, quiet, luxurious break.

Diana looked after us so nicely at breakfast each morning, making sure we had what we needed to start the day. Andrea welcomed us when we arrived and was thoughtful and genuinely hospitable throughout. Hotel Heureka is charming, elegant, and full of character. The design feels considered throughout, and everything was very well maintained. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and can’t wait to return to this hidden gem in Venice.
