We had a wonderful nine-night stay. The property was very clean and well maintained, on a quiet street that’s still convenient for shopping and transport. I’d stay here again on my next visit to Venice.

We were charged for the better room we were supposed to get, but they put us in a different room from the one we booked, so we didn’t get the view we should have. The service was really bad, and they didn’t want to help with anything. I don’t recommend it!

We didn’t go in the end, but they still charged us 600 EUR for four nights. We’d booked an apartment and said we were bringing our dog. The next morning they told us it would be an extra 30 EUR per day. When I complained that this was too much, since even luxury hotels in Italy often charge only 10-15 EUR per day for a dog, they said it was now too late to cancel. Seems like a real rip-off place.

We stayed here with our one-year-old, and the hosts were friendly and accommodating, including providing a cot. The rooms are excellent, with modern finishes and a lovely feel, especially the exposed timber roof beams. The apartment also has a great kitchen, cooking and fridge facilities, and a washing machine. It’s close to the central station, and getting there with suitcases was easy thanks to the flat route with no steps. There’s also a nearby water bus stop. We mostly walked, but used the water buses to go farther afield. The main plaza, with its restaurants, gelato, and bakeries, is about an eight-minute walk away. La Bella Pollastrella around the corner does delicious, well-priced pizza, for eating in or takeaway, and there’s a grocery supermarket nearby. Highly recommend if you’re on the fence!
