Paradise B&B

The location was great, but my stay was really disappointing. The pictures don’t reflect the place at all. Everything seemed old, broken, dirty, or moldy, and there was so much mold in the showers that I barely wanted to use them. It didn’t look as if they’d been cleaned in a long time. I wasn’t expecting luxury, just somewhere clean, and I would have paid a little extra for that. Communication was hard too, since they spoke very little English or any of the other languages I speak, so I couldn’t explain how I felt. Maybe they know the location is good and are taking advantage of it.

I arrived at the address, and then the host sent me a message in Bangladeshi on WhatsApp. I tried calling him, but he didn’t answer. He told me I had to find my own parking, even though Booking.com says private parking is available for 15€. With nowhere to leave my car, I had to leave, and I didn’t get a refund.

For one night, the price was very affordable. The room was attractive and comfortable to sleep in, and there’s a small balcony. The bathrooms have a good range of supplies, including shampoo, and the kitchen has utensils, a microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. We were greeted warmly. The downside is the noise from being right by the train station, which made it disruptive for sleeping, though that location is handy if you’re catching a train to venice s. lucia.

Jasmin was especially helpful, even coming outside to help us park the car. I found this hotel on booking.com after coming from the UK to Venice, and I was completely satisfied with the place and the staff. That’s why I gave the hotel and its staff five stars.
