Ca' Degli Antichi Giardini Apartments

The two units were modern and very clean, and we were really happy with our stay. We booked them for our group of 7 while visiting Venice. It’s a peaceful spot away from the crowds, with a pleasant walk to the attractions. I’d definitely consider staying here again if I return to Venice.

It felt like walking into a newly furnished apartment when I first saw the room. There was plenty of kitchenware if you want to cook, and a washing machine for clothes. You’ll be walking everywhere in Venice, so I can’t really call it the city centre, but it’s near Jewish ghetto, the liveliest area at night. I felt safe walking around there even late. Worth the stay and the money.

For the price, this place was ridiculous. When we arrived, the toilet and shower were filthy from previous guests, and there was hair and dirt on the floor by the front door. We asked for a cleaner, but the owner couldn’t arrange one until the next day. When the cleaner came, all they did was clean the sink we’d been using. We gave up and cleaned the bathroom ourselves. The beds were old, squeaky, and uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend it. Find better value somewhere else instead of paying that ridiculous price for what we got.

It’s a really clean, lovely place that works well for families or a trip with friends. The apartment feels like an actual home. You’ll be walking quite a bit to reach the main sights, but that’s one way to work off all the food and Aperol!
