Ponte del Megio

We came back to Venice this week and went straight back to this charming trattoria. Last year, we found it by chance for lunch on our final day in Venice in October 2024, and were so impressed by the location, food, and service that I told everyone about the meal. My husband had tagliatelle bolognese and I had gnocchetti with tuna, both exceptional. This time, the gnocchetti was on the menu again, hooray. We shared the special starter, stuffed zucchini flowers with anchovies and cheese, light and delicious. My husband chose lasagna, and I had the gnocchetti again. Exquisite. I come from a family of cooks in Rome and Le Marche, and I cook too, so we’re fussy. You can taste how much love goes into the food. Desserts are all made in house. Five stars for the food, service, reasonable prices, and the atmosphere, indoors or outside. Don’t miss it.

Giovanni gave us spectacular service, and the food was delicious. It was our first restaurant in Venice, and a great start to the trip. Highly recommend!

We sat by the canale in a really nice atmosphere. The food was very good, and the restaurant didn’t feel like a tourist trap, unlike many places in Venice. The service was the best part. We recommend it.

The vegetable soup and spaghetti aglio olio made for an outstanding meal, filling and delicious with quality ingredients. The spot is right by a couple of gondolas, ideal for relaxing and watching people go by. Stefania was a wonderful, classy server.
