Residenza Corte Molin

Ambra welcomed us warmly and had great suggestions for exploring Venice and the things we shouldn't miss. It was our first time in the city, and the location was great, not too far from Realto bridge. The room was small, but as far as I know that's standard in Venice. It was well set up, with a very comfortable double bed, clothing rack, good lighting, AC, and a nicely sized shower. Toiletries were provided, and there's a shared space and smoking area too. Since it's a listed building, staying here felt like a good way to experience authentic Venice.

We had a really bad experience. We booked through capital obne travel and arrived late because of the train strike. They said they'd tried to reach me about a late check-in fee, but I never got a call or email. The worst part was that the woman assisting us demanded the fee in euros, saying she wouldn't take a card, before letting us into the property. My husband was willing to go to an ATM for cash and asked her to let me in while he went, but she refused. We'd already reserved and paid for the room in full. I'd give zero stars if I could.

We had a wonderful stay while celebrating New Years and a late honeymoon in Venice. The room was charming and very clean, and felt like a well-kept piece of history. The hostess was so kind and helpful. We enjoyed having quite a few English TV channels to watch when we took a break and warmed up after exploring. At checkout, she surprised us with gifts, then even walked us onto the ferry bus to make sure we were on our way safely. My wife and I had a fantastic stay, a lovely way to finish our trip.

The staff really made our stay memorable, from pointing us toward places to visit to explaining which bus to catch for the airport. The building’s decor suits it so well, and the location is wonderful. It has a classy, time-travel feel. If you’re visiting Venice, I’d stay here.
