Venice Hotel San Giuliano

The location worked well, with the tram not far away and a bus stop right beside the hotel. The breakfast was better than the comments had led me to expect, if you're into sweet cakes and that sort of thing. The coffee, though, was bad. Outside, the entrance and hall look fine. The room was small, dirty, and had no air conditioning, and the shower was tiny too. The key card looked like it had never been changed and didn't work at first, so we had to ask the receptionist to check it.

The room was small and there was no safe in it, but it was clean, tidy, and cleaned daily. Staff were helpful, breakfast had plenty of pastries, and drinks at the bar were reasonably priced. It's easy to get to Venice from here, though walking into Mestre centre takes about 15 minutes. I'd recommend it as a good holiday base.

The reception was nice, the location was convenient, and both breakfast and the room were okay. But paying over 100€ a night for a shower that felt like one at a gym, small and uncomfortable, wasn't worth it.

The location was handy, and the tram into the city centre is a 5-7 minute walk away. But there was a lot of road traffic noise, and the room was small with only basic facilities. No kettle or mirror, just one working socket, and very little bathroom space for toiletries. The air conditioning didn't work and wasn't fixed even after we asked.
