Being on the ground floor was a big help with kids, since there were no stairs to deal with. We were delighted to find this hidden GEM in Venice. Andrea and Ernst were very kind and helpful. The apartment is well placed for the vaporetto, a traditional Venetian café, bars, shops, and the streets nearby. The rooms had enough space for our family of four. The appliances and bathroom were clean and ready to use, and we had hot water all day. There's a great bar close by for a morning coffee and cornetto. Sending greetings to the people there!

The neighbours who checked us in were flexible and kept in excellent communication. Our train from Florence was over an hour late, and that caused them no trouble at all. The apartment is spacious and good quality, close to sights, restaurants, and shops while still outside the touristy area. Most attractions are an easy walk away. If you arrive by train with heavy bags, consider hiring a porter to carry them, as there are six bridges between the station and the accommodation. The 40 euro was money well spent.

A quiet square in such a convenient location is a rare find. It was a bit pricey, but suited us well for a couple of days of sightseeing in the city.

Andrea was a great host. The little apartment is pleasant and charming, right on a small square with a typical well and a real Venetian feel. It's on the main route from the station to Rialto Bridge and San Marco, just behind the Frari.
