Venetian Mood

Getting into the apartment was awkward because you have to step over a vertical iron plank. Communication was difficult, too. It took three messages to get a reply, and the promised address by text never arrived. The housekeeping staff were very unfriendly and didn’t seem suited to tourism. Sleeping was the biggest problem: despite closed windows and it being the middle of winter, the apartment had a mosquito infestation. There were no supplies or equipment to keep them away. With so many other places to stay in Venice, I’d avoid this one.

The apartment was very clean and in a quiet area. Everything was good quality, and the staff were helpful.

The only good points were being close to the Redentore vaporetto stop and the canal bank below the Ponte Lungo bridge. Otherwise, I can’t recommend this studio. The sofa bed was uncomfortable, there was no nearby outlet for charging a phone, and no bedside lights. You can only control the ceiling light from a switch by the front door. There also wasn’t a coffee maker for breakfast.

I strongly advise against staying here. Getting into the accommodation is difficult, since you have to climb over a barrier about 50 cm high. The host didn’t check the inventory when we arrived or left, so after our stay I sent photos showing everything was okay. She’s keeping my deposit, saying a tap was loose. That’s unacceptable.
