Venice Miramare Residence

We were promised two nights, but on the second day the owner put us out on the street. We’d traveled a long way and had nowhere else to go. The owner never came to see us. This felt like a scam. Stay away, you’ll regret it.

Great location, and the apartment is big!

There’s no garden or view, and the place isn’t accessible at all. The photos on booking.com show white marble floors and smart wallpaper on just two walls. The rest of the walls are in poor shape, and the photos are misleading. I couldn’t see the pictures of the second apartment on Google, though there’s also a “Residence 1” in the same building. The apartment is right by a highway. It may have been newly lined with white marble, but that’s about the only positive detail. Hot water doesn’t work, and one tiny wardrobe has to serve two triple rooms. There’s no friendly welcome either. Guests arriving late through no fault of their own are charged exorbitant extra fees, demanded in cash. If we’d known what it was really like, we’d never have booked it as a vacation rental.

The place has been renovated and everything is new, but there’s a lot of street noise. The beds are too soft.
