Albergo Barbara

We stayed four nights for our honeymoon and were even given a bottle to celebrate. The staff were friendly and shared recommendations for local food. It was lovely to leave the window open at night and hear the ocean, and to step straight downstairs for food or a drink. We could happily have stayed two weeks. The view of Vernazza is the best, especially from rooms 8/9, and I can't recommend this accommodation enough. The room is quite small, though that didn't bother us. The stairs can be difficult with lots of luggage or heavy bags.

Barbara was a very pleasant host, and the apartment is perfect. It's only a minute from the sea and easy to access, though the listing doesn't mention the many stairs to reach it. That could be tough for older people. Definitely recommend.

A spectacular view over the harbour and a spacious room with plenty of storage. There was A/C, too. This family-run hotel was very welcoming, and the hosts were friendly and accommodating. I'd book again.

We had a great location and spent every evening at the beach, taking in the view. My friend and I had a wonderful stay, and the reception gave us lots of tips about food, things to do, and where to find gluten-free options. We also had many great conversations with the staff. When train strikes made it hard for us to leave, they offered us an extra night in one of the smaller rooms for a really low price. It was raining, and the woman at reception even lent us her umbrella. The only downside is all the stairs and no elevator, so it takes a bit of a workout. If that's manageable for you, it's a great stay in Vernazza.
