The rooms can be noisy. There’s a floor above Room 3 that isn’t part of the B&B, and guests tried to come into my room at 1 a.m. The upstairs was noisy both nights. Luckily I had earplugs. The door rattles in its frame, so I wedged something heavy against it, and I unplugged the noisy fridge. The women who handle cleaning and maintenance are lovely, and Luca is charming, though busy running his cafe. The location is great, right by plaza Erbe and behind torre lamberti. From the rooms you see the beautiful wall of the torre complex, and the exterior and entrance are lovely. Room 3, though, needs quite a bit of maintenance and updating: its walls are scuffed and need repainting, the toilet seat should be replaced, and the bed is visibly worn. Breakfast is at the cafe, with a pastry and a drink rather than a typical hotel buffet.

The room was unpleasant enough that I regret staying even one night. The facilities weren’t clean and badly need renovation, and there was nothing nice about the room, let alone anything deluxe. It was poor accommodation and not worth the money. We’d shared our check-in time in advance and the owner had confirmed it, but the room still wasn’t ready when we arrived, so we waited an hour. The location is the only thing going for the place.

For a short trip, the apartment is a great option because it’s right in the center, just one street from guilia’s house. The location was the best part. Parking isn’t nearby, but the host has an arrangement with a lot that’s not too far away. Breakfast is included at a nearby cafe run by the same owner.

Right in the city center, with friendly staff and everything you need for a short stay. Breakfast is served at the bar owned by the same guy.

Nice place, and the staff were friendly. The mattress was a little worn, but still comfortable.
