Fiore Di Loto

For one night, this was an easy, pleasant place to rest, and the walk into the city center was simple and quick. The room was basic but clean and comfortable, with towels supplied, and we had no trouble checking in. Two lovely, friendly women greeted us, collected the city tax, and kindly showed us around on a map. The bathroom is shared by three rooms. It was clean, though you'll need to bring your own shower gel and hair products. There's also a small kitchen you can use whenever you like, with tea, coffee and a machine, a fridge, and a stove. Free Wi-Fi too. The place is reasonably priced and does exactly what it promises, nothing more or less.

We were driving from Frankfurt, Germany, to Verona, Italy, and had booked Fiore di Loto, asking to arrive at 9pm. They said that time was fine. Then our car broke down, and finding a mechanic at the last minute pushed us back to 12:30am. We let the hotel know, but they said they couldn't accommodate us, so when we arrived we had nowhere to stay. My parents and I ended up sleeping in our Toyota Prius overnight. We asked for a refund and explained that the car trouble was out of our control, but they refused because of their policy. My parents are 50. Awful people. Do not stay here.

DONT STAY HERE. The person running this place was horrible and had no empathy. If your travel plans get delayed and you show up after 6pm, she may throw you out onto the street and laugh at your bad luck. You'll get no refund, of course.

We were in Verona with nowhere to stay because we arrived two hours late. We had no data to let her know our arrival time, and when we called to explain, she didn't pick up. She did reply to our emails straight away, which made it seem like she just couldn't be bothered. We ended up paying over 100€ so we wouldn't have to spend the night homeless. On top of that, she refused to refund us even though Booking had asked her to. Horrible experience, and a horrible thing for a person to do. Keep this in mind before booking a night there.
