Due Torri Hotel

We loved being able to walk to all the historic sights in central Verona from Hotel Due Torri. During our three nights, we felt looked after and appreciated from check-in through to checkout. The suite was spacious and perfectly clean, and check-in was both personal and professional. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone. Vincenzo at the lobby bar makes great cocktails!

We spent a week in the Mozart room, a spacious, very clean suite with a balcony and good appointments. Service was great from the front desk and the breakfast team, whose buffet was excellent. The doorman helped with parking and luggage, and the restaurant on the premises was fantastic. Two things I'd suggest: a handheld shower faucet, and Netflix or Prime for English-speaking guests. The many English-language TV channels only show news. Movies are available in Italian, Russian, Arab, French and Japanese, but not English.

I won't stay at that hotel again. After two days, I went to reception to check out and the lady accused me of using a minibar bottle of champagne. I told her I hadn't touched the minibar or drunk the champagne, but she was still rude and charged me 55 euros for something I hadn't used. This was after I'd been pleased with the welcome, large tidy room, restaurant and service on 29 and 30.02, all of which had been great.

The lobby was spectacular, and the bar service was superb. Breakfast was extensive and delicious, with top-notch servers. Our room was small but adequate, and the location was handy for museums, the Giusti Garden, beautiful churches, the Duomo, restaurants and shopping. The desk staff were so friendly and helpful, suggesting great places for dinner and arranging reservations. They even made sure we had coffee and breakfast before our 4:30 am airport departure. Our four-night stay at the DueTorri Hotel in Verona was wonderful, and we'd definitely stay again.
