Hotel Leopardi

For me, the best part was the cat in the lobby, which seemed to belong to the hotel. The breakfast was very good, and the hot bar had a cosy feel. The place has a certain 80s feel, but it's spacious and clean.

The hotel is comfortable, but it's disappointing how they deal with payment problems. My room access was blocked because an invoice was still pending, and nobody tried to contact me first. I had to go to reception to sort it out. That feels unnecessary and unprofessional for a 4-star hotel.

The hotel was generally a good choice for me, and I don’t regret staying there. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was enough, and having both outdoor and private indoor parking was a real plus. It’s outside the city centre, though bus stops are nearby and the ride in is easy, at €1.50 per person. There’s no complimentary water in the room, and the fridge bottles cost €2. A few things made the stay harder. The beds creaked a lot, and poor bathroom ventilation let smells into the room. During a storm one night, noise from outside the building kept us from sleeping. The worst moment was with the reserved parking. I’d booked a space for three nights, but after leaving the car there for two days, I returned in heavy rain on the third day and couldn’t get in. I signalled several times from the car, but the receptionist wouldn’t open the gate. When I went inside, she angrily said parking required a reservation and cost €10 a night. I had to point out that my name was on the paper in front of her, and it was also listed in the parking area. It felt disrespectful to be treated that way. People sometimes insist on things without knowing the facts. If you can put up with some issues, you may be fine here. I still don’t regret choosing it.

The room was the letdown. The bathroom was clean and usable, but the bed felt like concrete, and I slept terribly on both nights. The walls are so thin that you hear everything in the halls. Outside, the hotel looks nice and the lobby is pleasant. The location is good, and the staff are friendly, though they didn’t seem very concerned about how our stay was going.
