Palazzo Ponte Pietra

A great base for seeing the city, in a perfect location. I found everything else very nice and would recommend the place. The one thing that bothered me was the door, which stayed closed while a light kept switching on and off now and then.

The location is excellent, but I left feeling badly misled by both the property and Booking.com, where I made the reservation. I paid €198 for one night, expecting the advertised apartment with three bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen. We were four adults, including two seniors aged 76 and 74, and a seven-year-old child from three different families. Veronica had seen our IDs, so she knew the group size. What we actually got was one double bedroom and a small living room/kitchen with a tiny single bed squeezed into it. I told the property that this wasn't the three-bedroom apartment described on Booking.com. Veronica said the listing was wrong, that she hadn't written it, and that they couldn't change what Booking.com said. So who did write it? To me, €198 for this was a scam and a fraud. Be careful: after all the nice words, you could end up ripped off like I was.

The room was beautiful, large and spacious, and the stay was wonderful otherwise. But there was a dark, closed-off room within the ground-floor room, at the front, that felt scary. The TV also didn't work.

A decent apartment overall, and I'd recommend it. It's a bit far from the center, though you can walk there in around ten minutes.
