Residenza Montebello

Daniele and his wife were so kind, and they gave us a lovely welcome. They speak several languages, which was a big help. The house was magnificent, spacious, tastefully decorated, and very well equipped. The beds were comfortable, and it sits on a quiet street. There are also some beautiful paintings by the owner on the walls. We stayed for a short week, April 12th to 18th, 2025. Thank you, Daniele. I'll keep the address safe, we'll be back. Céline

We stayed from December 28 to January 2. The house itself is very beautiful, and the rooms are spacious, but it wasn’t set up properly for the ten people the owner allows. There weren’t enough chairs or cooking utensils, so meals were uncomfortable, with some of us eating on kitchen stools or high chairs. The owners suggested booking by bank transfer instead of through Booking.com and promised a discount. In the end, they didn’t honor it.

The location was great, quiet, and around 15 minutes from the city center by public transport. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. The owners were friendly and always ready to help. We’ll definitely come back! 😊

The residence is lovely, but there aren’t enough chairs for the number of guests they accept. The kitchen caused problems too: even though we’d agreed to clean it before leaving, the owners charged extra for using it and held back our deposit. We had agreed on €2,500 outside the booking site, on the owner’s advice, then ended up paying €2,800 after what felt like ridiculous decisions made at their discretion, with no way to appeal. (Yes, it’s for families, not children.)
