Vecchia Verona

Martina’s great at what she does, and this is such a cute place. It was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host communicated well, the bed was really comfortable, and we slept well. Waking up to coffee from the machine was so good. It set the bar high and became a highlight of our trip to Italy. We’d definitely come back and recommend staying here. 🇮🇹 ❤️

The location was one of our favorite things about this place. It’s close to the main attractions, traditional restaurants, and nice spots to sit and relax. We also liked having a simple breakfast in the room to enjoy whenever we wanted: croissant, fruit, juice, cheese, ham, yogurt, muffins, and more. They let us leave our luggage there while we waited for our late-afternoon bus. Our hostess welcomed us warmly and helped with whatever we asked. She recommended the best restaurant in town and even helped us find transport to our next destination. The room was lovely, with original paintings on the walls. The shower worked perfectly, and the bed was very comfortable, with lots of beautiful pillows.

The room was exceptional, with good equipment, a nice view, and a small terrace. After we paid, the host gave us the wrong change and used the video camera to check on us. It struck us as strange and a little rude.

We booked Vecchia Verona apartments expecting a secure room, but another guest was able to walk into ours one evening because the door lock had failed. We were concerned about security and arranged somewhere else to stay that night. We also canceled our planned activities in Verona because we didn’t want to leave our belongings in an unsecured room. Since we were leaving early due to those concerns, we asked for a refund for one night. The staff member said her boss wouldn’t do anything because a technician had since fixed the door. We were also told that the door would need to be completely replaced after we had left. We felt the owner should have offered a refund, or at least a discount for the night someone entered our room. When we checked out, the receptionist asked us not to leave a negative review. We received no compensation, so we want other future guests to know about our experience and how it was handled.
