Casale Poggio del Tiglio

We spent one evening having dinner with the other guests, and it was lovely and fairly priced. Breakfast was made with local products, especially the homemade cake, which deserves a mention. The farmhouse has beautiful views and a charming, authentic feel. Dino, who helps the owner, welcomed us warmly and took great care helping us plan each day's itinerary. The owner was attentive and kept everything running smoothly. We felt safe around the seven guard dogs. Our room was comfortable, a little old-school, and had a fridge. Many thanks to Dino and the owner for their hospitality.

Valeria knows Sicilian food so well, and let us try typical local produce along with vegetables fresh from their fields. The view is amazing, and the dogs around the property made lovely company, never intrusive but always ready for a cuddle or a little trick. We came to spend a few relaxing days in peaceful surroundings with nature and animals, and Poggio del Tiglio agriturismo delivered. The rooms were very clean. Dino was so friendly, always smiling, and full of useful tips. They also put us in touch with the guide Zelia. She really knows her job, and gave us an incredible amount of detailed information while patiently answering our hundreds of questions. We came back with only good things to say.

The pool was a great place to unwind, with the distant sound of Etna erupting in the background. That was a memorable experience. We had a wonderful stay at this agriturismo, and Valentina and Dino made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The room felt authentic and was well kept.

A good base for a few nights while visiting the region, including Etna, Catania, and Taormina. The property is very well maintained and has a large parking area. The rooms are a bit dark, which could be an advantage in summer. Breakfast was nice, and the Sicilian dogs wandering around were amazing, very sweet beasts. The owner, and Dino especially, were welcoming and keen to help.
