The food and wine were delicious, but what stood out most was how patiently the staff helped with our daughter's needs. She has diabetes and a gluten intolerance, so they made her gluten-free spaghetti and took all the measurements needed for us to work out the right insulin dose. We were there on a busy Saturday night with our two little girls and no reservation, yet they welcomed us warmly and helped us through the whole meal.

Roberto has been giving us the best dining in town for over 40 years. We keep coming back.

Breakfast had plenty of variety and tasted homemade. I didn't see the usual bacon and eggs, though I wasn't interested enough to ask; my understanding was that the kitchen could prepare what you needed. The rooms were roomy enough and kept clean, and the WiFi was faster than average. Everything is looked after on a small, well-run scale. I didn't try the restaurant because it was a bit costly for my limited budget, though I hadn't heard anything bad about it.

The seafood lunch was the best we've had in Viareggio, with excellent portions and food. Service was friendly and spot on. Give it a try, you'll be glad you did!

We tried a great range of seafood, then finished with ice cream and chocolate sauce. The service was impeccable.
