B&B Le Due Volpi

The pool was cold, but a refreshing dip. Heidi and Lorenzo were very nice, the rooms were clean, colorful, and cozy, and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The valley view was beautiful, and Heidi's food was delicious.

We spent 5 nights in September 2023 at Aldo en Cinzia's B&B. From our Bartali room, we could watch both sunrise and sunset. The service and meals were very good, and Aldo had lots of suggestions for things to do in the Mugello region. He also showed us his collection of historic bikes. A fantastic B&B, especially if you love cycling.

Cinzia was everything we could have wanted in a host, so warm, welcoming, and thoughtful. Her b&b was the best place of our 2 week holiday. It was so peaceful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for resting. We could happily have stayed another 2 months. All the best, grazie mille Cinzia. Update: The room had bugs all over it, including cockroaches and other vermin. There's one in the picture. Why would I make this up? Maybe the rooms should be cleaned instead of denying the problem. The fact that nobody has complained before doesn't mean the place is always clean. I arrived with high hopes but was really disappointed. The room was dark and gloomy, and it only got worse from there. It wasn't cleaned at all, and there was vermin even in the cutlery drawer. Breakfast was poor too. Despite the positive comments I saw, it was almost the same every day: cake, coffee, the same fruit salad in a small bowl, yogurt, jam in a plastic packet, honey, cereal, and light bread. Sometimes there'd be some cold cuts or one croissant. Those supposedly hearty breakfasts were pretty average. The driveway to the quarters was terrible. At the boarding house there was a gentle emphasis on not using too much electricity, along with quite a few delicate instructions from the owners. It was generally peaceful and quiet, the only pluses. Too bad. It started well, but turned out as usual.
