Alfa Fiera Hotel

Good value, with clean rooms that have the equipment you need. In the morning, though, I was trying to sleep and could hear room service cleaning nearby.

The convention center is close by, which is a big plus, and having breakfast available is useful. The rooms are good, with clean linen and bathrooms. I wish there were more electrical outlets. For everything else, we needed a taxi. Still, it was a pleasant stay.

Being so close to the fair is priceless if that's where you need to be. Parking is available in front of the hotel: leave a €20 deposit for a key to your own space, or ask reception for a daily ticket to use the public lot at no charge as a guest. The staff are always smiling, and breakfast is solid, with something for everyone. You can order coffee from the machine and the waiters bring you proper Italian coffee. The fresh orange juice was a great touch, something usually offered for free only in five-star hotels. There's an elevator, and the rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and the bed linen changed daily. The hotel is very tidy, quiet and clean. One odd thing in the family rooms: no wardrobe. I'd never stayed in a hotel without a closet before, and it felt like a strange idea.

The hotel was modern, and I was quite happy with it. It also has two EV charging stations in the parking lot. My one complaint is the bathtub, which was so high that getting in and out took a lot of effort. The room key was unusual too, a very basic old-fashioned key attached to a cone-shaped fob that weighed about 1KG. In all my travels, I'd never come across such a funny key chain.
