Bb Casa Giulia

The rooftop is fantastic, and breakfast is served up there. It’s a very good place to stay in a perfect location. I’d choose one of the rooms with a sea view, since the room facing the alley doesn’t get much natural ventilation. Walter was a hospitable host with great recommendations. We had a lovely time in Vieste and at the B&B.

The breakfast terrace is huge and looks out to sea. It’s an Italian-style breakfast, but there’s plenty: bread, yogurt, fresh fruit, Italian cookies and tarts, and good coffee. Andrea can also make large toasties with prosciutto and cacio if you ask. Casa Giulia is right in the city center, just a few steps from the beach, restaurants, bars, shops, and marina. Our room was ready before check-in and was really more like a small apartment. It was clean, tidy, and spacious enough by Italian standards, with a fairly large bathroom. We stayed in a separate building, so the old, thick walls made the WiFi a bit spotty. Still, there’s so much to do in Vieste and nearby, and the staff can answer questions about places to eat, see, and explore. The owners were quick to respond from the start and always friendly and helpful. It felt like living in an Italian neighborhood, where you can hang clothes from the balcony or pour the air conditioner’s bucket water into the street. They always smiled, never got cross, and clearly cared about their guests. On our last day, we had to leave before breakfast, so the owners directed us to a bar that was supposed to open at 7. It wasn’t open, and we had to buy breakfast elsewhere, but Casa Giulia paid for it. I appreciated the gesture because they took responsibility even though it wasn’t their fault. I’m sure they’d look after you just as well. I really miss Vieste and highly recommend booking at Casa Giulia.

Andrea gave us excellent suggestions for places to see and eat, and was very helpful. The B&B sits just inside the historic center, close to the sights. Breakfast was good, served on an outdoor patio overlooking the sea and port. Highly recommended.

Our room was in a separate building a few meters from Casa Giulia. It was okay, apart from the bed. The staff were kind and helpful, and we got all the details we needed about getting near the B&B and where to park. The location was great. The shared terrace, where breakfast was served and where we could have drinks in the evening, had a fabulous view.
