Green Garden eco-holiday

I booked one night so my son and I could extend our vacation. When we went to bed, I found ants in the sheets, and my son, who had already fallen asleep, had them crawling on his face and countless ants under his pillow. I spent the sleepless night disinfecting the room with alcohol, luckily I had some. The owner just said, “It happens; we need to figure out where they're coming from.” Ants on the floor are one thing, but in the bed sheets is intolerable, especially with a small child who woke up scared. I was disappointed by the owner's indifference.

The apartment had significant cracks, wasn't cleaned very well, and the fridge smelled unpleasant. The manager yelled at me for holding a small bag of unsorted waste. We'd arrived a few hours early and had only been able to separate our organic waste because there were no recycling bins in the apartment. Keeping garbage in the tiny apartment or in bags on the veranda was unthinkable. The rudeness was disarming. To avoid ruining our vacation, we left straight away, even though we'd paid in full, and moved somewhere else. There we found recycling bins in the apartment and a warm welcome. I advise the managers to provide proper spaces, encourage guests to separate garbage, and speak politely to them.

We only stayed one night in the fully equipped two-room apartment. The owners were very kind, and the accommodation was affordable. It's a good location if you have a car, since it's outside the city center. With so many mosquitoes around, I'd suggest providing repellent and window screens.

The village has small houses set among greenery, and everything was clean. The owners were available and kind, and breakfast was excellent, with the owner's delicious cakes on the lovely garden terrace. A few more shelves in the studio would help with organizing luggage. And a heartfelt thank you for welcoming us and our dogs.
