Pellegrino Palace Hotel

We slept really well overall, even though the soundproofing was only average. The double bed mattress needs replacing, but the single bed was excellent. Our first stay at Hotel Pellegrino in Vieste was a very good one. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, with a large bathroom and storage shelves, a powerful hairdryer, a mini fridge that worked perfectly, effective air conditioning, and a comfortable covered balcony. The meals met our expectations. Breakfast had a decent sweet and savory selection, fresh fruit, and lots of treats. At lunch and dinner, bottled water of one liter was included, the portions were adequate, there was fruit at lunch and dessert in the evening. The fish was especially good, nicely cooked and tasty. The restaurant is just 20 meters from the hotel, with large assigned tables and air conditioning. Maitre D'Rita ran it impeccably, and was helpful and professional, always with a welcoming smile. The coffee was excellent too, and at only €1.20, a real bargain. The pool was lovely and well looked after, with the delightful lifeguard Antonello keeping watch. Molly Animation were around but never intrusive. Our daughter had a blast at the baby dance, even on evenings when she was the only child there. Having a private, well-equipped beach club just steps away was very convenient. The young staff were friendly and welcoming. The spacious parking area had shade awnings. The shuttle to Vieste ran on a schedule of 9:30 A and 0:00 R, though we often chose to walk the 20 minutes along the beautiful, lively Lungomare Mattei. For a relaxing, carefree holiday, this is good value, with Vieste's sea and historic center to enjoy. The only thing I'd ask is that they keep up, or improve, the food quality, which is already more than good.

We were seven adults and a young child, and the restaurant staff deserve a special mention. They stayed patient and kind through all our many requests and did their best to meet our needs. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the restaurant was well organized. The beach is only steps away, so this is definitely somewhere to consider for a seaside holiday.

We’ve been coming back for several years and already look forward to next year. Ludovico, Annamaria, and the very kind Maître d’ all took care of our requests, and the whole staff was great. We usually walk into Vieste, a pleasant 20-minute stroll, though guests can use the free shuttle. The private beach facing Pizzomunno is just across the road, and there’s also a lovely pool shared with adjacent Pellegrini Village. The grounds are green, tidy, and clean, the rooms are spacious and all have balconies, and parking is private, shaded, and within the building. Food is good, with a generous breakfast buffet and a choice of three first courses and three second courses at meals.

The staff were friendly and very professional, and kept our large room clean and tidy. The hotel is right by the sea, with full beach service. Breakfast was excellent, plentiful, and well stocked, and the home-cooked food each day was delicious and generous. Well done, everyone!
