Village Camping La Canzone del Mare

Top notch.

The apartment was the main letdown. We booked a “two-room” 2+1, but it was really a studio, and the website floor plan gave a completely misleading impression. The bathroom was barely adequate and needed serious maintenance. With no windows and daylight only coming through the door, the artificial lighting also needs to be much stronger. The rest of the place felt simple and welcoming, especially for families with children. The WhatsApp group they add you to on arrival was useful for keeping up with the entertainment program. The beach in front is lovely, with beautiful, enchanting water, and our beach club had plenty of space between umbrellas. It’s a nice walk along the seafront into town, and town parking is very close, though honestly I didn’t see a reason to move the car.

I’m posting this almost two years later because I was looking for something in Vieste and this resort came up again. Its setting right by the sea is fantastic, but my stay was full of problems. The apartment was cramped, especially the kitchenette. Calling it small would be a compliment. Four adults could barely manage in mid-August with just a mini fridge, and there was hardly a kitchenette at all. They gave us tables to put our things on the veranda. The shower curtain didn’t reach the floor, so every shower flooded the bathroom, which was awful. The mosquito nets were broken and dirty. Breakfast was really disappointing. I’d expected something good and fresh in Puglia, maybe fruit or local pastries, but got low-quality frozen croissants and jam. The hot drinks dispenser was the worst part. Service needs work too. I asked to use a bike at 7 pm, before reception closed, but they wouldn’t let me take it because they said it closed at 7 and I wouldn’t make it back in time. It wasn’t as if I was taking it home. In Rimini, I could use one 24/7. They seem to rely on being in Vieste, without knowing how to deal with tourists. I could say a lot more, none of it positive, but this is enough. And about the restrooms being 60 cm apart, maybe that wasn’t my apartment.

The evening shows and morning games had us laughing, and the mini club made every moment an adventure for the kids. Raffaele, Marco, Melissa, and Meggie brought so much energy, sweetness, and creativity to the entertainment that their dedication turned the whole week into a memory we’ll treasure. We had a wonderful week at the "La Canzone del Mare" resort in Vieste. The sound of the waves and the breathtaking scenery made for a relaxing, fun holiday, and the staff were always helpful and friendly. We’ll definitely be back.
