Great location, and there’s a private spa area downstairs in the basement. It’s a nice old school hotel. Parking is quite dangerous, though, with the road right next to it.

We had a very friendly atmosphere, with the guests mostly British holidaymakers and the Neilson employees all approachable and kind. This year the hotel is run by Neilson holidays as part of a package ski trip, and I hope that continues for a couple more seasons. The rooms are excellent and the food is too. A ski bus runs semi-regularly from the door to the two brand new lifts at Alba. Otherwise, it’s a short walk to the main bus route. I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for a hotel near Canazei.

The rooms were dirty and the furniture old, and I won’t be coming back. Breakfast was really bad, with no meat or eggs, so I was hungry again after half an hour. Dinner starting at 19:30 was also much too late.
