Being close to the station and port was convenient, but the room was dated and the lock didn't work properly. The bed was awful too, just squeaky springs under us. The owner wasn't welcoming, and I would have left if I hadn't already booked. I won't stay here again.

We arrived with our two large dogs, and they were accepted without any trouble. The owners were very helpful, and the room was spotless. Even though we booked just three minutes before arriving, they welcomed us courteously and followed the safety rules in place for Covid-19. We stayed one night before taking the ferry to Messina, and the port was only about two minutes away. Highly recommended.

A family-run B&B that's well placed for an overnight stop on the way to or from Sicily. The owner is kind and helpful. Breakfast can be served in your room, and there's a coffee machine with different pods.

The windows and balconies were in disgraceful condition, and the bath towels were tiny. In the middle of August, we weren't allowed to use the fridge in the shared room because that area was closed for safety. Ridiculous. Covid-19 seems to be used as an excuse for poor service. This is a shabby “room rental” being presented as a B&B, even though it doesn't meet the requirements. The regional authority that issues permits should be checking, but apparently isn't. And I still don't understand why there was a mattress hidden under the bed.

The owners are lovely, and the rooms are spotless with tasteful decor. It's only about 100 meters from Villa San Giovanni train station, which is very convenient. The downside is the busy road outside. On weekends, you probably won't sleep much.
